What is it?
This planning effort will result in a structured, data-driven roadmap designed to improve safety, prevent injuries, and eliminate fatalities on Cambridge’s roads. It will define specific goals, identify hazards through data collection and community engagement, and define specific projects or recommendations to be implemented over time. This initiative is funded through the U.S. Department of Transportation’s (USDOT) Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) Grant Program, and prioritizes urgent actions to make streets safe for all users, whether walking, wheeling, driving, bicycling, or taking transit.
