Hydrant Flushing
Next Monday or Tuesday (12/11-12/12) we will be flushing some hydrants near the bottom of Mill St, aka Mountain
Rd. We have customers on Mill St who are experiencing discolored water, we are working
extensively with our engineer on a long-term solution. I would not typically flush hydrants this time of
year, but we think this will provide short term relief for our Mill St. customers. We will use the hydrant
on Mill St, and may use the hydrant across from Hanley’s. Some customers in the Village may see some
water discoloration, not unlike when we flush hydrants in the spring/ summer. That discoloration
should last no more than 1 to 1.5 days, we apologize for the inconvenience. If you have any specific
