Public Comment Period for Draft 2025 Jeffersonville Local Hazard Mitigation Plan

The Village of Jeffersonville is seeking public comments on the draft Local Hazard Mitigation Plan. The public comment period will run December 8 st , 2025 through January 8 th , 2025. To review the draft plan visit the Village of Jeffersonville home page at www.jeffvillagevt.com. Please submit comments to LCPC Planner, Conrad Becker, at conrad@lcpcvt.org. The Jeffersonville Trustees will also be taking public comments on the plan at their December 8 th, 2025 meeting beginning at 6:30 pm. Interested members of the public can participate in person at the Jeffersonville Village Office.

The purpose of the Hazard Mitigation Plan is to identify local hazards that are a threat to the community, and outline mitigation actions to reduce vulnerability to threats including natural and man-made disasters. Maintaining an updated Hazard Mitigation Plan is one of the 4 requirements for ERAF (Emergency Relief Assistance Fund) status and is an eligibility requirement to apply for Hazard Mitigation Grants.
